The opposition promises to do
thisThe forum "In favor of democracy" with the motto "The
condition of proclaiming democracy is the dismissal of the illegal regime"
held by the "Justice" bloc about which it was spoken so frequently at
last took place yesterday. All powers of the opposition field except the ANM and
NT took part.The organizers and participants of the referendum were rather
quiet and it was obvious from the beginning that no conflict would happen. There
was no procession but serious accusations sounded to the address of the current
authorities. The head of "Justice" bloc Stepan Demirchian opening the
meeting said: " A year has passed since the day when the illegal regime used
violence for staying in the authority. Nobody has been exposed to the responsibility
till today." Mr. Demirchian noticed: " I want to reaffirm our decisiveness
in forming legal authority. Doubtlessly we’ll achieve it." The conclusion
was the same; the opposition will dismiss these authorities as the result of popular
uprising.The secretary of "Justice" group Viktor Dallakian said
in his turn that two questions were being asked in those days; when and how? The
answer of the questions was given at once it must only to realize it. These authorities
must be dismissed "as fast as possible, by the force of the people."The
most surprising was Paruir Hayrikian’s speech who was also applauded by the participants
in the hall. He was saying the following that the opposition must be unified round
the "Justice" bloc. And leadership of the bloc is right saying that
the authorities must be dismissed peacefully as the result of pressure of national
tide. Ashot Manucharian declared in his speech: We will hardly find any prisoner
in the prison of Kosh who did such crimes as those persons in authority."
And according to Hovhannes Hovhannisian that day must be celebrated in the street
as the one-year anniversary of victory of the people and the opposition. "Democracy
can’t win in Armenia. We have a rude, rough, less educated or uneducated authority;
we don’t have a strong authority. This authority like a tree empty inside which
must be thrown out." Edgar Arakelian condemned for striking a policeman by
a plastic bottle spoke about that under rule of these authorities illegalities
and non-punishments are encouraged. The press secretary of the DPA and "Justice"
bloc Ruzan Khachatrian who had also been arrested illegally in the office of the
party declared that it is already the time of choosing. "It is the time for
everybody to speak and choose. We have done that choose." The speech of the
member of the DPA administration Arusiak Mamikonian was rather revolutionary.
According to her the authorities don’t understand the peaceful and constitutional
language of the opposition, as they only know the language of splashing water
machines and batons. So the opposition has only a way; to learn the language of
