\”SACRED CONTRIBUTION\”

November 28,2007 00:00

NA parliamentarian Hakob Hakobyan declares about Levon Ter-Petrosyan\’s role in the NK war.
Leader of “Dashink” Party former commander of the NKR army Samvel Babayan denying the fact as if he had exiled Serge Sargsyan Karabagh in 1993, declared on November 24 that he would present the real reason of Sargsyan\’s absence. In Samvel Babayan\’s words the reason was the RA political leadership\’s “crime” which didn\’t allow to liberate the NK territories.
S. Babayan\’s declaration, according to Lragir.am “left a deep dissatisfaction and anger among veterans of the war” who gathered on Monday to discuss Samvel Babayan\’s declaration. But RA First President called them to calm down and promised to speak about several facts of those years in the coming mass meeting. It seems that this kind of declaration may be very dangerous and may involve not only the population but also the volunteers of the war.
RA NA parliamentarian, participant of Artsakh war, commander of “Malatia” unit Hakob Hakobyan considered the danger less possible. He opposed to S. Babayan: “We should think normally, they want to say as if they have liberated the territories while Levon was against it? It is absurd. Levon Ter-Petrosyan has been informed about every inch of land we have liberated. They simply should know how much they are able to liberate”. In H. Hakobyan\’s words, Levon Ter-Petrosyan has been the general commander of the war, and he should know how much territories they were able to liberate, or whether the country is able to open a new front to liberate more and more territories and be responsible for it after. “The soldier doesn\’t know it. The soldier wants to take more territories. That\’s true, we were ordered not to take any territory any more, we were offended but that person (LTP) was responsible for it: “We understood later that he was right. Maybe we took more but lost everything.”
