Gevorg Alekyan, the manager of the ARF office in the region of Shirak, informed during a conversation with us that they had gotten a lot of calls regarding election fraud in Gyumri and workers of their headquarters had managed to get certain facts. “At 10:30-11:00 a.m., our guys found a PAZ, a bus, with 45-644 license plate, in which election bribes were handed out in accordance with a list to vote for a candidate for membership in the town council, as well as Samvel Balasanyan’s name was circulated, in the Boulevard neighborhood. There is a phone number in the booklet of the candidate for the council and on the lists, there are first and last names of voters who are brought to polling stations in accordance with the list and we have those documents (see the photo). And the woman who handed out election bribes
and had the money fled – our guys didn’t wish to run after her and catch her,” Gevorg Alekyan communicated.
He said that according to the circulating news, 5 thousand AMD had been handed out to each voter on the bus. The candidate for the council who wrote his phone number in the booklet is Meruzhan Gaboyan who was announced as a candidate for the council by the Work and Dignity Initiative endorsed by Samvel Balasanyan.
