September 30,2016 20:30

“Aravot” asked Selina Doğan, ethnic Armenian lawmaker of the Turkish parliament, representing the opposition People’s Republican (CHP) party, what Turkey he wants to inherit for her children.  “Our dream is to see our children growing in an atmosphere where there is tolerance, where everyone is a master of his own identity and feels respect towards others’ rights and identity.  I want people to love their country on the one hand and grow as a citizen of the world on the other hand,” – said Selina Doğan

She added with regret that she has not yet been in Armenia and communicate with RA NA MP Aragatz Akhoyan, and in a broader sense, for having no chance to communicate with their Armenian counterparts due to workload.  We asked whether it is easy to be a mother of a small child and a politician at the same time.  In response to this question, Ms. Doğan said that it is the most difficult thing because her baby is only 3 years old.  She added that her and lawyer husband Erdal Doğan’s families help her a lot.  During the week, she spends 3-4 days in Ankara or other cities and visits other countries.  And basically, she is traveling with her child because although it is very difficult but she feels herself more relaxed.
