“Assessing the history of cinema with “now” is wrong,” says the famous filmmaker Artavazd Peleshian.  Speaking about the future of the film industry at the Ministry of Culture, he expressed such a persuasion: “Time will come and everything will fall into their places and  there will be a lot of good things.  When? … for example, I have heard a lot that Chaldranyan is constantly shooting films that are considered an “Oscar” worthy films.  I watched the film “Hamlet”, it is a wonderful piece, superb … Then I watched the latest film “Master’s Silence” dedicated to Komitas.  It is a superb film but difficult in content.

The difficulty will go away, no need to stone the film because of the difficulty.  Chaldranyan must be assisted, he is a very serious filmmaker.  The future of the great cinema is in him and with him.”  As Peleshyan mentioned, if the film is difficult to understand today, tomorrow it will definitely become clear, “Everything will fall into their places.  In Russia, for example, people are slowly-slowly passing to serious films.”  The master also said that he recently was watching “The Autumn of the Magician”, a film by Ruben Gevorgyants dedicated to Tonino Guerra.  “An excellent film,” assessed the master the work by Gevorgyants.
