Armenia football team secures 38-place jump in the FIFA rankings

The new FIFA rankings was announced on November 24, Football Federation of Armenia reported. According to the new rankings, Armenian team moved up to the 87th place in the list following their impressive home win in the last match against Montenegro in the qualifying stage for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The current standing is an advance by 38 positions from the place the team had in the previous edition.

According to the new rankings, the list is still topped by Argentina, followed by Brazil and Germany.

Among Armenia’s competitors in the FIFA World Cup 2018 Group E Poland holds the highest 15th position, Romania is the 39th, Denmark – 46th, Montenegro – 63rd, and Kazakhstan is the 97th.
