Head of Nerkin Karmiraghbyur: ‘Azerbaijani armed forces shoot with long-range weapons’

Manvel Kamendatyan, the Head of the Nerkin Karmiraghbyur community bordering Berd region, Tavush Marz, said that his village people have begun the spring agricultural works, now they are pruning the vineyards located on the border.

The Head of the community said that now there are no shootings but the Azerbaijani armed forces can resort to infringement any moment.  M.  Kamendatyan noted that the arsenal of the Azerbaijani armed forces has been improved, the new weapons in its arsenal enable to hit long-range targets, to open a targeted fire in the direction of civilians of the bordering villages.  The Tavush farmers beware of the Azeri sniper fire are afraid to cultivate their land located in the border zone.  Therefore, the area of uncultivated lands bordering Tavush Marz under the Azerbaijani fire as a result is increasing.  Because of being located in Azerbaijani border some, the uncultivated lands in Tavush Marz amount to 7210 hectares.
