Taron Margaryan answers to Nikol Pashinyan

April 25,2017 10:31

Ahead of Yerevan mayoral elections several candidates from the Republican Party of Armenia were on a pre-election meeting with Taron Margaryan. We mentioned that the leader of “Yelq” bloc, mayoral candidate Nikol Pashinyan has announced that he intends to liberate Yerevan Municipality from the Republicans, Taron Margaryan replied: “Honestly, I have not heard of a suchlike announcement, but let them try, but understand as well whether the people agree or not. The opinion of our Yerevan residents is very important to me, and not theirs. Yerevan residents should decide who they trust, whose project they believe in.”

To our reference to Nikol Pashinyan stating that he is going to build a metro station when elected, Taron Margaryan referred: “And do you believe in it?”

We noted that the opponents of the city mayor insist that it is realistic to build a metro station if the budget is correctly managed. Taron Margaryan responded: “I have worked in local municipalities for more than 10 years, I master urban economy and we have conducted series of surveys for now, also with reference to add metro stations. This requires a lot of means. Later, when we solve the primary issues of our citizens, we will definitely think of it as well.”

He has mastered a city economy of corruption AND mismanagement! Also using Republican administrative resources to illegally steal his elections with impunity! But the mayor has one great piece of advice: “Yerevan residents should decide who they trust, whose project they believe in.”
