‘We should first and foremost ask the one who has warned’: Lena Nazaryan to Farmanyan

June 27,2017 14:32

“Yelq” bloc member Arayik Harutyunyan has posted on his Facebook page about the warning received from Krasnodar. The warning implied that the “Spayka” company has closed “Rosa Vetrov” wholesale market before the other companies exporting apricot. Armenian apricot exporters take the product to the market, there they say that they will take solely from “Spayka”. This post has been shared also by “Yelq” Member of Parliament Lena Nazaryan. The RPA MP Samvel Farmanyan, in his part, has posted on Facebook as a response to Lena Nazaryan and Arayik Harutyunyan. He had represented the position of “Spayka”, as we struggle against Azerbaijan and Turkey to sell Armenian product in Azerbaijan, what a minor exporter it is for us to leave this war and chase it.

Lena Nazaryan, talking about Samvel Farmanyan’s response, told: “But how has he responded? Has he called one of “Spayka’s” officials and told – is it true or not? They have naturally rejected. But you know, right? If there is someone who has warned then s/he is to be asked about the issue.”

Lena Nazaryan reported that the warners insist that there is a problem, they are in touch with Arayik Harutyunyan: “The issue still exists, I just talked to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan, they were also aware of the warning, that the media have spread. He told that he will be informed until the evening what solutions are in place and will inform us too. We endeavor to protect the interests of those people.”

Lena Nazaryan informed that Samvel Farmanyan has called and tried to find out from the opposite side, which has initiated this issue: “There are two markets in Krasnodar, one is “Rosa Vetrov” and the other is “Khutor Lenina”, and they have made an agreement with the owners of both markets to sell the apricot imported solely by them. In the result, the small and medium exporters from Armenia have reached that market and found out that their access is closed. Here it seems no violation of the law is in place, forasmuch as it was an agreement between the two businessmen, however, in any case, the issue of our state is to protect the interests of small and medium exporters alike. And we will be consistent.”
