“At present, we have established good cooperation with Armenia in the energy sector. We hope the third high-voltage line will be put into operation soon. Armenia will receive gas from Iran for that electricity”, talking to reporters on the progress in the construction of Iran-Armenia high-voltage line, said Iran’s ambassador to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sajadi.
He also noted that if Armenia succeeds in importing gas from neighboring countries, Iran is ready to participate in that process.
As for the possible increase in gas imports from Iran, the ambassador hinted: “We are also ready to sell gas to Armenia at affordable prices. This issue is currently being discussed. Hopefully, there will be progress”.
According to Seyed Kazem Sajadi, if Armenia becomes more active in energy sector, big steps will be taken: “Those will contribute to job creation in Armenia”.
