The Armenian Assembly of America issued the following statement on the democratic developments in Armenia:
“After days of nonviolent protests, Armenia’s Prime Minister resigned today. We commend the Armenian people, civil society, and the leadership. This is a watershed moment for Armenia and the region. The Armenian Assembly of America urges the international community to support Armenia for its remarkable demonstration of democracy in action and the rule of law, and to ensure Armenia’s security. We congratulate the people of Armenia.”
