Armenian Woman Detained for Making a Publication on Twitter in Turkey

Turkish activist, former teacher Acun Karadag informs on her Twitter that Rozeri Zeri, of Armenian descent, has been detained for making a publication on social network.

“She has been detained for making a publication on Twitter. She is a mother of an ill child. Shame on you! How do you conclude from a sole publication, that she has committed a crime? What do you want to do by this? It is enough already!”, writes Karadag.

Zeri is detained for criticizing Turkish authorities.

Karadag has formerly taught at one of the schools of Turkish Dersim district. After the attempt of the military uprising taken place in Turkey in 2016, she was dismissed.

It becomes evident from Zeri’s photographs on Facebook, that she is a civil society activist, has participated in a set of protests in Istanbul, during which the protesters called on to release the journalists, activists and people from other fields imprisoned in Turkey.
