Ararat Mirzoyan elected Speaker of National Assembly with unexpected high majority

My Step member Ararat Mirzoyan was elected Speaker of the National Assembly with 131 votes during the secret vote in parliament.

New head of the counting committee Vahagn Hovakimyan said that all 132 of the deputies participated in the vote, and that one of the tickets had abstained. No one had voted against Mirzoyan.
