In coming years Armenia approximates with large part of EU acquis

March 11,2019 19:05

The conclusion of the new EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (#CEPA), provisionally applicable as of 1 June 2018, foresees that in coming years Armenia approximates with large part of EU acquis. In particular, the Republic of Armenia and the EU are together developing and proposing tentative roadmaps for approximation so that Armenia will effectively transpose into national law a large number of EU directives in key sectors. In order to ensure mutual agreement on priority areas the #TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission) Peer Review Mission on Road Transport Approximation in Armenia took place on March 4-8. The experts are now analysing the road safety and legal situation, issuing recommendations for reducing the number of fatalities and injuries at some Black Spots (straight wide 4 lane motorway, large roundabout, large junction with bus stop and shops, junctions with local roads in H-8 republican road and M-5 road) in Armenia.
