Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that he needs to observe whether Naira Zohrabyan is in the right position as the head of the Committee on Human Rights and Public Affairs after taking into consideration her response to transgender woman Lilit Martirosyan’s speech during the last committee session.
After the Prime Minister’s statement, the members of the Prosperous Armenia party held a session and decided that Naira Zohrabyan is indeed in the right position.
Prosperous Armenia deputy Gevorg Petrosyan told reporters, “Naira Zohrabyan carried out her responsibilities well within accordance of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, and we don’t see the need to review this.”
