Wine and brandy production on the rise in Artsakh

According to the data released by the National Statistical Service (NSS) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh/NKR), in January-May 2017, wine production comprised for 60.7 thousand liters in the country, indicating a 23.4% increase compared to the same period of 2016.

To note, in January-May 2016, 49.2 thousand liters of wine was produced in Artsakh.

According to the NSS statistics, the brandy production volumes also increased in Artsakh in the indicated period. In January-May 2016, 3.3 thousand liters of brandy was produced in the republic, whereas brandy production amounted to 11.1 thousand liters in the same period of 2017.
