Famous rock musician Serj Tankian, who is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the “Creative Armenia” Foundation, took part in the anniversary of the Foundation.
He said he is in Armenia to encourage Karin Hovannisian and “Creative Armenia” team. He also noted that among other projects, he is working on a film with Karin, about which he refrained from giving details.
Aravot.am inquired about his feelings in post-revolutionary Armenia. Serj Tankian noted that he is impressed with the recent actions being taken in the context of the fight against corruption. “I am very excited and happy that the new government continues to work with this enthusiasm, energy, and balance. I am here to support them”, said Tankian.
We also talked about the recent developments of Amulsar issue with him. “In terms of the protection of the environment, no mining industry can positively affect the water, the people. Mining is an old form of business, we need to find more intelligent ways, avoiding the old ones. The mining industry will damage the environment even in its best way of exploitation. Let us hope that we will get out of this difficult situation”, told the rock musician to Aravot.am.
